Start with flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and warm water. Mix them well until the dough becomes smooth and stretchy. Then, cover it and let it rise for about 45 minutes — this is the secret to making it fluffy. When frying, make sure the oil is hot but not smoky. Use your hand or spoon to drop small balls of dough into the oil.

Turn them slowly until all sides turn brown, then remove and drain
